Jim answered my first phone call and spoke with me at length, explaining his business, and how he turned it into a business from a hobby, now with two properties growing bamboo. Seemed like a great guy. Even told me the plants I wanted were five feet, not four, and that I'd have them by the end of the week. I went ahead and ordered two plants. He promptly charged our credit card. Well its been a month now, still no plants! My wife and I have left several voice messages and emails. No response! Currently trying to dispute the charges with the credit card company. DO NOT PATRONIZE!

2 bamboo plants dying; company refuses to return phone calls or emails

Bought 2 Fargesia Ruga bamboo's from Michigan Bamboo several years ago and they were doing well. Upon purchase, Jim, the owner, told me if I ever had any problems, please contact him. Well, that promise ends once he receives payment. Brutal winter killed off most of both plants. Have been leaving voice mails and sending emails for nearly 2 months and not a single response. I actually wanted to buy a couple more plants once I salvaged the two I have but apparently the company has zero customer service. I am not expecting to have the company replace the trees but mearly to offer advice on how to save them. Is that really asking too much?

Unprofessional/unresponsive

Repeatedly contacted this nursery with no response whatsoever. Reached out to them with voicemails, calls, and emails. Complete waste of my time trying to use a local supplier. Word of advise for the owner- try responding to customers that want to purchase your products or don't even bother selling them. If you don't have inventory, let them know. Michigan bamboos voicemail states that they will return your call promptly...how about never! I was very disappointed with the lack of communication from the entire org. Ended up having my bamboo shipped from elsewhere and my call was answered immediately by a helpful and friendly staff.

I wish I seen this before I ordered. I ordered a small amount from them a month ago.

I received the receipt for the purchase. The money has been taken from my account, but there has been no further word from them. I have called and called, emailed etc. and no response.

Most companies will let you know when their plants ship. Not this one.

I don't believe they are in business for the little purchases as they state. Curious to see if I get a response or just ripped off.
